Project Pinball Charity Group Inc
Placing Pinball Machines in Children’s Hospitals Across the United States
Our Mission
To provide play therapy and recreation to children that are in hospitals by way of installing and maintaining free pinball machines at children's hospitals.
Our Story
Bringing pinball machines to Children's Hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across the United States.
Project Pinball Charity is dedicated to providing recreational relief to small patients and their families as well as the physicians and nurses who care for them at children’s hospitals across the nation. A pinball machine is a powerful instrument that offers therapeutic benefits, which fits in perfectly with the dynamics of a hospital environment. It helps keep patients active and mobile while also providing amusement.
We provide all the equipment, parts, supplies, and regular maintenance at no cost to the children’s hospital. Project Pinball Charity is currently located in 69 different hospitals across the United States. We are finding out with every visit and every testimony how powerful one pinball machine in the right setting can be!
Project Pinball Charity began with the discovery of a broken Spider-Man pinball machine at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. The machine, located at The Chrissy Brown Hematology and Oncology Unit was a memorial gift donated to the hospital in the memory of Jimmy Schneeberger on February 17, 1989 – April 13, 2000.
Founder, Daniel Spolar, and benefactors worked tirelessly to raise funds and donated time to restore the machine to perfect condition. The fully restored machine now resides in the family room to be enjoyed by all and is on a regular maintenance schedule.
Project Pinball Charity was incorporated and given the mission to place a pinball machine in every hospital across the United States, after seeing how this machine impacted the patients and families of Golisano Children's Hospital.
Pinball machines give the young patients motivation to get back on their feet and it also provides the family members of the patients and the support staff a little recreational lift from time to time.
